PATRICIA MAE ADSIT MEMORIAL CONCERT | Robert Nance, organ and piano
This concert commemorating the life of friend and philanthropist Patricia Mae Adsit featured over 80 musicians from the area including members of the Philharmonic Players Association, Vocal Artists from Heartland Sings and more, all under the direction of Maestro Robert Nance. Selections included the Chorale Prelude on “Now thank we all our God” by Karg-Elert; the second movement from Symphony No. 9 by Dvorak; “The Lord is My Shepherd (Psalm 23) by Robert Nance; “Going home” by Stephen Paulus; Intermezzo by Alex Shapiro; and “Pie Jesu” from REQUIEM by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This choral orchestral performance, along words of remembrance, was meant to celebrate Patricia’s commitment to Fort Wayne and Allen County, the arts, to education and to organizations that work to eliminate abuse and find ways to bring our community together. SONGS OF MOTHERHOOD | featuring Natalie Young, Ashlee Bickley McCrory and Nicole Busarow
A free concert featuring soprano Natalie Young, mezzo soprano Ashlee Bickley, and pianist Nicole Busarow explores in music the triumphs and trials of early motherhood. Featuring art songs composed in the last hundred years, many from the perspective of female composers, the aim of this program is to acknowledge the joys and challenges mothers face from pregnancy to early postpartum. The concert took place in the Sanctuary at Plymouth Congregational Church. Watch here.

WE ARE THE DREAM 2025 | Commemorating the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
For over three decades, Plymouth Congregational Church has sponsored an annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration. This dramatic presentation features speakers from the community and the musicians from Pilgrim Baptist Church, Plymouth Church and Heartland Sings. This concert took place at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ft. Wayne, IN.

​FELIZ NAVIDAD | A Christmas Concert by Canto de Corazón
Plymouth Church and Heartland Sings collaboratively sponsor Canto de Corazón, a unique community choir that sings exclusively in Spanish, providing a unique opportunity for choristers of all backgrounds to appreciate Hispanic-Latino culture and enhance their language skills. This second annual program will feature co-directors Robert Nance and Cote Godoy. The concert took place in the Plymouth Church Sanctuary on Dec. 15, 2024. Watch here.

MERIDIAN PRALL, mezzo soprano | Winner, 2024 Metropolitan Opera Competition
Meridian Prall returned to her home town to perform a concert with pianist Maestro Robert Nance. Ms. Prall is a 2024 Grand Finals Winner of The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition and the recipient of the 2023 Rose Bampton Award from The Sullivan Foundation. This concert took place in the Plymouth Church Sanctuary on Nov. 17, 2024. Watch here.

PEACE LIKE A RIVER | Hymns, Psalms and Spiritual Songs of Peace
In recognition of the International Day of Peace, we present a traditional hymn sing featuring songs of faith that focus on peace. The program will include piano, organ, handbells, and congregational singing.

For over three decades, Plymouth Congregational Church has hosted an annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration concert. This dramatic presentation includes the inspiring words of many great civil rights advocates, presented by many community leaders and featuring Janice Furtner, the Rev. Dr. Bill McGill, the Vocal Artists of Heartland Sings, Pilgrim Baptist Church Choir, Plymouth Congregational Church Choir, and Plymouth Church’s Thee Combo all under the direction of Maestro Robert Nance. This unique wind ensemble, which had its debut concert at Plymouth Church in 2023, returned by popular demand in a concert designed to lift your spirits as winter draws to a close. Watch here.

FELIZ PRIMAVERA | A SPRING CONCERT BY CANTO DE CORAZÓN
A Spanish language community choir directed by choir member and Heartland Sings principal tenor Wagner Pastor in collaboration with Plymouth Church, Heartland Sings and the YMCA. This concert was supported in part by the Walter Family Music Fund, established by longtime choir member Gordon Walter. Watch here.

WHAT IS TRUTH SEMINAR 2.0 | A WEEKEND OF STUDY, STORY, AND SONG
Featuring Valerie Tutson, Storyteller, Singers David Bobay and Sydney Fabregas along with keyboardist Robert Nance and Plymouth’s Thee Combo, this is our second seminar that provides the opportunity to consider the question and reflect.
